INTRODUCTION: Shine For A Cause!
On 17 December 2005, Saturday, Serve with Style with the support of Zouk Club is organizing a Charity Show entitled ‘Charity Stars?at Zouk Club to create awareness and raise funds for the Special Children’s Society of Ampang (SCSOA). The funds raised will contribute towards building their new home and the event hopes to change how people perceive the physically and mentally challenged community. Everyone who supports Charity is a true star. On the night itself, we will be having several celebrity guests, including the Miss Malaysia 2005 finalists, Saer-ze, Hans Isaac and etc. We are inviting the public to attend this celebration to mingle with the stars and actually become stars for that night! One of the attractions is everyone has the chance to walk on the glamorous red carpet, being ambushed by flashy lights and feel like the stars before entering Zouk Club. Also, to catch our celebrity guests roam gracefully on the red carpet before the show starts.
‘Charity Stars?is giving glamour recognition to the charity givers, be they TV host, fashion designers, designers, celebrities, students, professionals, businessmen, women, men or housewives. People who give charity are Stars, because they shine hope, care and future on people in need. This event will contribute towards changing how people perceive the disabled community, eliminate discrimination and promote equality of opportunity for all.
‘Charity Stars?is a collaborative project for the charity between fashion colleges, Zouk Club, the fashion label ‘Radioactive?and supportive celebrities. This evening promises to be extremely exciting, being a unique combination of Fashion and Entertainment show. The event aims to provide an opportunity for students and local designers to showcase their work before those from high society and the fashion and education industries. There will also be an Melbourne shuffle and breakdance performance by ‘Radioactive? The highlight of the evening will be a celebrity T-shirt Auction, where celebrities will design unique ‘Radioactive?T-shirts together with the children from the Special Children’s Society. The event is proud to have NTV7, My News Network Entertainment (MNNE) as our media sponsor, and William Quah as our event MC!
On the night, we will be introducing Wong Wei Yuen a.k.a Foster, a talented student from the Special Children’s Society of Ampang, to showcase his designs. Foster has Downs?Syndrome and has been designing clothes for Barbie dolls. He has been recently adopted by Gillian Hung, designer and entrepreneur. She is helping him develop his design skills and the showcase of his designs at this event proves that, with help, people who are disabled can be capable of great things.
Tickets will be available at RM40 and will be for sale at all Radioactive outlets and Zouk Club and specific colleges.
After the evening function, guests will be able to continue to party on at Zouk!
